Kia Motors is an official automotive partner of FIFA (Federation Internationale de Football Association), the governing body for the world's greatest sporting event, the FIFA World Cup.

Kia is one of six official FIFA partners, which includes the rights to the 2010 and 2014 world Cups and other FIFA events. Kia together with its assocaite Hyundai, will also sponsor FIFA competitions from 2007 onwards, such as, the FIFA World Youth Championships, FIFA Women'sWorld Cups, as well as new FIFA competitions, including the FIFA Interactive World Cups and FIFA Beach Football World Cups.

The 2010 event will be the 19th World Cup and is scheduled to take place in South Africa between June 11th  and July 11th. This will be the first time the tournament has been hosted by a nation in the Confederation of African Football. 

In the eighteen tournaments held, only seven nations have won the title. Brazil is the most successful World Cup team, having won the tournament five times. The current World Champions, Italy, follows with four titles, and Germany holds three. The other former champions are Uruguay and Argentina with two titles, and England and France equal with one title each.

The New Zealand All Whites will be one of the 32 teams competing in next years tournament after a stunning win in their World Cup qualifier game against Bahrain. The team are due to compete for only the second time in the tournaments history.

 

FIFA World Cup 'Final Draw Prediction Game' online competition

Kia's 'Final Draw Prediction game' challenges participants to predict the outcome of the 20-plus play-off matches being held during the second half of November and how the 32 qualifying teams will be split into their eight tournament groups.

After the Final Draw is made, one Grand Prize winner will be selected by Kia to receive full hospitality to vist the opening match of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa on 11 June. the package includes match tickets, return flights and accommodation for two.
